This collaboration aims to improve instruction, research, and campus life at colleges and universities around the world. This project seeks to identify the modalities that hold the greatest potential to result in improvements in learning and research outcomes, as well as enhancements of student engagement, faculty satisfaction and other qualitative metrics.

How it Works

HP and EDUCAUSE will provide our campus with a set of 3D technologies based on the sites’ areas of focus. The technology loadouts for Columbia will be determined by CUIT and HP.

Available technologies:

  • HP Sprout Pro G2 Blended Reality Workstation
  • HP z640 Workstation PC
  • HP DreamColor Z27x Studio Display
  • HP Zvr Virtual Reality Backpack
  • HP Mixed Reality Head-Mounted Display
  • HTC Vive Head-Mounted Display and Sensors
  • HP 3D Structured Light Scanner Pro S3

We feel that rapid evolution of 3D technologies does, in fact, offer new opportunities in higher education, and hope that you will join us for this exploration.
