This training session will take place over two days on October 6th and October 8th. Each sesssion will start at 11 AM and last one hour.
Go beyond basic prompting in this hands-on introduction to Google Gemini and Gemini Notebook for Columbia faculty, staff, and administrators. Participants will learn how to use Gemini for chat, file and image analysis, Gems, Deep Research, Canvas, and Workspace-connected workflows, then build source-grounded Gemini Notebooks with study guides, FAQs, mind maps, Audio Overviews, Video Overviews, and sharing options. By the end, attendees will be able to choose the right tool for common teaching, research, administrative, and productivity tasks.
This training session is intended for Columbia University faculty, researchers, and staff. We request that students and university affiliates (Barnard and Teacher's College refrain from registering).
