The Emerging Technologies Consortium (ETC) proudly presents Olivia Davis, Curator for The Fine Art Program and Collection at Montefiore Einstein and James Pearce, Emerging Technologies Manager, Fashion Institute of Technology. They will share their journey and collaboration on the creation and evolution of the CHILZone: The Children's Hospital Innovation Lab @ Montefiore. This is a state of the art digital platform featuring immersive VR and AR technologies and evidence-based artistic content to support (or assist) children in their healing process.
Since 2014, Olivia has been responsible for overseeing the implementation of a comprehensive visual arts program of the highest quality. Through commissions, acquisitions, rotating exhibition programs, donations, and innovative technologies, she is helping to provide Montefiore with a life-affirming, healing and supportive environment for patients, families, caregivers, students, faculty, and staff while also building a world-class art collection that befits the mission and goals of Montefiore.
Prior to joining Montefiore, Olivia was the Co-Creator and Assistant Manager of the NYU Langone Medical Center Art Program and Collection. She has also held positions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Department of Cultural Affairs Percent for Art Program, and the National Portrait Gallery in London.
Ms. Davis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rochester and a Master of Arts degree from New York University.

Opened in November 2017, James runs FIT’s "Faculty Research Space". The space is a cross-disciplinary studio where faculty and students can work alone, together, across schools and departments, on emerging technology exposure, experimentation, and research with an emphasis on practical application: to use tech as a catalyst to help create things of value that are personalized, sustainable, ethical, and globally relevant.
Mr. Pearce holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Leeds University (UK) and a Master of Education degree from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
