Emerging Technologies' AI: Community of Practice (AICoP) is a multidisciplinary gathering of curious minds, exploring the practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) at Columbia University. The community provides a platform for learning, discussion, and experimentation—helping to demystify AI, encourage exploration, and foster inclusive collaboration.
In our next AICoP we'll be focusing on Responsible AI (RAI) and how we can strategically use and manage AI in ways that are ethical, safe, and aligned with our academic mission. We’ll introduce a clear working definition, practical principles, and walk through what RAI looks like across the technology’s lifecycle.
The session will be led by Spencer Ames, Associate AI Analyst, and Parixit Davé, Sr. Director at CUIT Emerging Technologies.
