Emerging Technologies’ AI: Community of Practice (AICoP) is a multidisciplinary gathering of curious minds exploring the practical applications of artificial intelligence across Columbia University. The community provides a platform for learning, discussion, and experimentation—helping to demystify AI, encourage exploration, and foster inclusive collaboration.
In this session, the School of Professional Studies (SPS) will share how it's embedding AI skill and literacy school-wide through a comprehensive three-pillar approach: teaching AI, teaching with AI, and using AI for school administration. Participants will learn how SPS is promoting the literacy and competency that’s increasingly essential across industries and functions, and see practical examples of how this work is taking shape across academic and administrative operations. Operationally, SPS has built this approach on senior leadership support, working groups, training and workshops, office hours and support, AI experiments and innovations, and the SPS AI Lab.
