AICoP: AI Literacy at Columbia: Summer Overview and Fall Programs

September 25, 2026
9:30 AM - 10:30 AM
America/New_York
Online Event

Emerging Technologies’ AI: Community of Practice (AICoP) is a multidisciplinary gathering exploring practical applications of AI across Columbia University—a space for learning, discussion, and experimentation.

In this session, the CUIT AI & Emerging Technologies team will recap the summer AI literacy program—who it reached across Columbia, what it covered, and what participants told us—and preview the fall series that grows out of that feedback. The fall offerings take a practical, hands-on approach: platform-focused sessions on the AI tools available to the Columbia community, how their capabilities differ, and how to choose the right tool for research, teaching, learning, and administrative work. Expect live demonstrations of real workflows, guidance on privacy, data handling, verification, and responsible use, and resources to keep learning between sessions. We'll also share ways to stay connected through AICoP, AI Connect, and the newsletter, and leave time for your questions.
