Parixit Davé currently serves as Sr. Director at CUIT for Emerging Technologies. In this role, he is responsible for the operations and projects related to new technologies and works directly with faculty and researchers in support of ETC grants. He provides a much-needed consulting role on emerging technologies to the entire university. He also liaisons with peer institutions and works closely with Educause. In 2018, Parixit co-founded CUIT's Emerging Technology Consortium (ETC), and was appointed as the director.
Prior to this, Parixit was a senior manager and led the group of Academic Technologies at CUIT. This group supported numerous services used by over 36,000 students and 4,000 faculty members.
Before Columbia, Parixit led systems development and infrastructure engineering teams at Rutgers University for 15 years. There he spearheaded and supported technology projects used by over 70,000 students and 8,000 faculty and researchers. Parixit received his MBA and undergraduate degree in Information Technology from Rutgers University.
HyunSoo (Soo) is an integral member of the Emerging Technologies group at CUIT, managing Emerging Technologies core grant programs, including Teaching & Learning, Academic Research, and AI Community of Practice, as well as group-wide business and performance improvement.
Soo brings nearly two decades of progressive experience in client relationship management, process improvement and organizational effectiveness throughout the private and educational sectors. Building upon her expertise, Soo transferred her skills and passion to Higher Education, where helping faculty and researchers is still at the core of what she does.
Soo has master’s degrees in Educational/Instructional Technology from Columbia University, Business Administration from University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University.
